Chris Evensen
Chris is originally from Lexington, Kentucky; attended Wake Forest University where he earned a BA in Psychology, graduating with honors, Cum Laude, in 1996. In the Fall of 1996 he returned to the Commonwealth, located in Louisville, and entered the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, where he graduated with honors, Cum Laude, earning a Juris Doctorate in 1999. After working as an associate and partner in a local firm, he began the Evensen Law Office in 2008, believing it afforded the greatest opportunity to provide the best legal representation for his clients.
In his years of practice, he has handled disability claims involving almost every type of physical/orthopedic injury, Brain Injuries, and Psychological conditions. Further, he has represented individuals suffering from a variety of diseases such as Lupus, Lyme Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Heart Disease and COPD. Having the opportunity to practice so many injury and disease claims has allowed him to learn about the nature of a variety of injuries and illnesses and their disabling qualities.
He has traveled throughout the United States and overseas attending conferences and seminars regarding disability and also provide education to members of the community, speaking on injury issues and the law.
He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association, and Kentucky Justice Association.
Erik Abell
Erik is of counsel with Evensen Law Office. Erik performed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky (B.A. Psychology & B.A. Political Science) and obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law. In addition to his formal education, Erik has also received extensive mediation training through Just Solutions Mediation Services.
Erik’s primary areas of practice include Private Individual and Employee Sponsored Disability Insurance Claims, Appeals and Lawsuits and Plaintiff’s Personal Injury.
Erik understands that every claim is unique and every client has different needs. This is why Erik strives to be as accessible to his clients as possible. He believes direct and honest communication is the foundation of strong legal representation. Erik is committed to providing every client with the personal attention, knowledgeable representation, and candid advice they deserve. Positive results will follow.
In his personal life, Erik enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife, April, and son, Costner. He is a huge sports fan and an avid angler.
